Lia Carminati

Lia holds the brokerage licence for Be Live In Realty and works Lynn and the North Shore in English and Brazilian Portuguese. She trained as a lawyer: a Juris Doctor from the Universidade Federal do Pará, and an MBA in business law. She practised in Brazil before moving into property here, which is where the habit of reading a contract line by line comes from. She came to real estate through construction. She is co-owner of LC Painting & Construction with her husband Lourenço, a general contractor and developer, and that is why she is the person clients bring to a walkthrough when they want to know what a repair is actually going to cost rather than what it might cost. She also lends as a hard money lender with Crowd Lending Inc., so she has sat on both sides of an investor’s financing. Before opening Be Live In Realty she led the Be Live In team, and previously ran the MG Group, inside Century 21 North East. She is a Certified International Property Specialist and served on the Greater Boston Association of Realtors global committee in 2023. She writes a property column for the Brazilian Times. She works with sellers, with buyers, and with the small investors who make up most of the two- and three-family market north of Boston: flips, fix-and-flips and buy-and-hold.
